Here’s a helpful guide for choosing:

Medical Appointments

  • What is their purpose?: These include visit to address medical skin conditions like hair loss, acne, benign lesions, and many other dermatology concerns

  • Does insurance cover this?: Medical appointments are usually covered by insurance. When you check-in, we will collect your deductible, co-pay, and any patient responsibility as per your insurance plan. Please come with your preferred payment method ready for your visit. 

  • Divergent Dermatology and Aesthetics is currently in network with the following providers:

    • CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield

    • Aetna

    • Cigna

    • …and many other plans soon to come

Cosmetic Appointments

  • What is their purpose?: Cosmetic appointments address cosmetic concerns such as dark spots, anti aging, etc. This is an early stage part of our practice. We are currently doing chemical peels and plan to expand to botox and laser treatments in the future. 

  • Consultation Requirement: For new cosmetic issues or if you are a new patient, please choose cosmetic consultation when scheduling. This is so we can discuss a personalized treatment plan. 

  • Procedure Scheduling: If you had a prior consultation with Dr. Quartey, please schedule a cosmetic procedure. 

Self-Pay Appointments

  • What is their purpose?:If you do not have medical insurance or do not have an insurance plan in-network with your practice, this is the right option for you.  

  • Payment: We require payment at the time of service. Various forms of payment are accepted.
